Google ออก Chrome 4.1.249.1059 for Windows ซึ่งถือเป็น Stable Update เวอร์ชันใหม่ล่าสุด ออกเมื่อวันที่ 20 เมษายน 2553 โดยเวอร์ชันใหม่ล่าสุดนี้มีการแก้ไขปัญหาเรื่องความปลอดภัย (Security Fixes) หลายอย่างที่พบในเวอร์ชัน 4.1.249.1045 ตามรายละเอียดด้านล่าง

การดาวน์โหลดและการติดตั้ง Google Chrome 4.1.249.1059
Google Chrome 4.1.249.1059 นั้นสามารถทำงานได้บน Windows XP, Windows Vista และ Windows 7 โดยวิธีการติดตั้งนั้น โดยทั่วไปสามารถแบ่งออกได้เป็น 3 กรณี ดังต่อไปนี้

กรณีที่ 1 ยังไม่มีการติดตั้ง Google Chrome อยู่บนเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ สามารถติดตั้งโปรแกรม Google Chrome จากอินเทอร์เน็ตผ่านทางบราวเซอร์ โดยเปิดไปที่เว็บไซต์ www.google.com/chrome จากนั้นดำเนินการคำสั่งบนจอภาพ
กรณีที่ 2 ยังไม่มีการติดตั้ง Google Chrome อยู่บนเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ สามารถดาวน์โหลดโปรแกรมติดตั้ง Google Chrome จากเว็บไซต์ Download Google Chrome 4.1.249.1059 มาทำการติดตั้งด้วยตนเอง
กรณีที่ 3 มีการติดตั้ง Google Chrome เวอร์ชัน 4.0.249.89 หรือ เวอร์ชันก่อนหน้าบนเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์อยู่ก่อนแล้ว สามารถทำการอัพเดทเป็นเวอร์ชัน 4.1.249.1059 ได้ตามขั้นตอนดังนี้
1. เปิดโปรแกรม Google Chrome จากนั้นคลิกที่ไอคอนรูปเครื่องมือ แล้วเลือกคำสั่ง About Google Chrome

2. ในหน้าไดอะล็อกบ็อกซ์ About Google Chrome ให้คลิก Update Now แล้วรอจนโปรแกรมทำการติดตั้งแล้วเสร็จ
3. ในหน้าไดอะล็อกบ็อกซ์ Please close all Chrome windows and restart Chrome for this change to take effect ให้คลิก OK
4. ในหน้าไดอะล็อกบ็อกซ์ About Google Chrome ให้คลิก OK อีกครั้ง
5. ทำการรีสตาร์ทโปรแกรม Google Chrome เพื่อให้การเปลี่ยนแปลงมีผล
